Recently attention has been drawn to lymphoma like disorders consisting of
generalized lymphadenopathy, often associated with hepatosplenomegaly, and
immunological abnormalities such as dysgammaglobulinemia or hemolytic anemia.
In view of the histological picture, these diseases knave been called "chronic
pluripotential immunoproliferative syndrome", "immunoblastic lymptadenopathy", "diffuse
plasmacytic sarcomatoses", or "angioimmunoblastic lymphadenopathy with dysproteinemia
(AILD)".
Though there are frequent reports of these disease in the literatures, we thought as a
very few in this country.
We have experienced lately an interesting patient complaining of recurrent fever,
multiple lymptadenopathies and considerable weight boss with hepatosplenomegaly which
was proved as AILD pathologically by specific histologic picture in the inguinal lymph
nodes.
This patients, thirty-eight year old housewife, having the above complaints of about
four months duration showed also polyclonal hypergammaglobulinemia. The combined
administration of corticosteroid and acme chemotherapeutic agents were given with much
improvement in this case, but we would expect to observe further progress of her
illness.
